My Statement of Faith

I believe that God is a 3-part entity. He exists as God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit (called the Trinity). Matthew 28:19.

I believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God who died for our sins and arose from the dead. I Corinthians 15:1-8

I believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God: “A lamp unto our feet and alight unto our path.” Psalm 119:108 & II Timothy 3:16

I believe that every person has been created in the image of God but that “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23

I believe that forgiveness of sins and the promise of eternal life are available to all those who accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. John 3:16

I believe that those who accept Jesus Christ must repent of their sin, confess their faith in Him and be baptized by immersion into Him for the forgiveness of sin and the gift of the Holy Spirit. Romans 10:9, 10 & Acts 2:37, 38.

I believe that the Church is the body of Christ on earth and exists to save the lost and edify the saved. Ephesians 4:1-16

I believe that Jesus Christ will one day return to earth to claim His church and bring judgment against sin. I Thessalonians 4:13-18 & II Peter 3:8-13

NOTE: Books which teach something not backed up by Scripture will either not be reviewed or will receive a "critical" review. I believe that Christians are to live lives following the guidelines given in scripture.
