Michele T. Huey is a writer for a local newspaper. She provides weekly devotions along with a feature article. Her devotions are based on every day experiences.

Each devotion includes the title, a scripture quote, the devotion's text, a one-sentence prayer, and a suggestion of a scripture to read and meditate on for an additional minute. Her devotions read like she is sitting across from you just sharing from her heart. They are easy to read and understand. Her devotions will lift your eyes from yourself to the Lord above.

Recommendation

Everyone has a different taste in devotions. I happen to enjoy those based on real life experiences; therefore I enjoyed these two books. The first volume may be purchased from Amazon.com.
