As Good As Dead

Patricia H. Rushford. As Good As Dead. Revell. 2005.

Angel Delaney is a private investigator who used to be a full-time policewomen. The story begins as her family gathers for her father's funeral. For several years, the family has been mystified about the disappearance of Luke Delaney, her brother.

Like so many of the Angel Delaney Mysteries, I don't recommend that you begin this story late in the evening. You'll find it difficult to put it down until you know how it ends! Rushford manages to weave fascinating stories with danger, suspense, and their faith. You're sure to enjoy this book as Angel travels across country to find her brother. It gets difficult for her to sort the "good guys" from the "bad guys" and the results may surprise you at times.

Recommendation

The Delaney mysteries are exciting reading for any mystery fan. After reading this book, I am sure you will want more of the books in this series. You can find them at your local Christian bookstore or at Amazon.com online. Perhaps one or more books in this series would be the idea Christmas gift for someone on your shopping list this holiday season.
